When your enemy starts paying your bills

Friends, we often think of God as very serious or stern. But when you look at the story of Jochebed in Exodus, you see a God who loves to outsmart the powerful with a gentle wink.

Jochebed thought she was saying goodbye to her son forever when she placed him in that basket. Instead, God arranged for her to be paid by the very people who threatened him. He turned her “forced labour” into a season of provision.

Whatever is keeping you awake tonight - be it a bill, a boss, or a burden - remember that God is working behind the scenes. He is setting up a punchline that will leave you in awe of his goodness.
