Dear friend.
Have you ever asked for help, only to feel let down by what came?
Perhaps you prayed for a clear answer but found only one small next step. Maybe you hoped for a fresh start, but life still feels plain and hard. It can be tough to trust that what we have is enough.
The people of Israel knew that feeling. In the desert, they were hungry and afraid. God gave them manna, but it was not the meal they would have picked. It was strange and plain. Yet it was the food they needed for that day.
That story speaks to me because I often want God to provide in ways I can see and enjoy. I want the full plan, not a daily share. I want comfort, not a lesson in trust.
Yet some of God’s best gifts come in simple forms. A meal. A quiet hour. A kind word. Enough strength for the next task. A friend who stays. These gifts may not solve the whole problem, but they can carry us through today.
This week, try asking three short questions:
What has God already brought me through?
What has he placed in my hands today?
Is there something I can share with another person?
You do not need tomorrow’s strength yet. You only need grace for this day.
Our new seven-day devotional series explores trust, fear, rest, sharing, and finding enough when life does not go to plan.
