When life backs you into a corner
Hi friend.
Can I ask you something honest?
Is there something pressing in on you right now? A situation at work that feels impossible. A health battle that’s left you exhausted. Grief that just won’t shift, no matter how many days go by.
If any of that sounds familiar, I want you to know - you’re not imagining it, and you’re not alone.
This week’s devotional is rooted in one of my favourite passages in the whole Bible. It’s from 2 Corinthians 4, where Paul writes with remarkable honesty: “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
That’s not the language of someone who had an easy life. Paul knew real suffering. But he also discovered something that changed everything - that even at the end of his rope, he was never at the end of his hope.
One phrase from this week’s video has stayed with me since I recorded it: God is the master of turning crucifixions into resurrections. He works in the mess. He redeems the pain. And - as Romans 8:28 promises - he causes everything to work together for good for those who love him.
Pressure is temporary. But purpose is eternal.
This week, I share five practical steps to help you not just survive pressure, but actually grow through it.
