The thing I wish someone had told me sooner
Hello friend.
Can I ask you something? Have you ever wondered if you’ve messed up too badly for anyone to still want you?
I ask because I meet people every week who carry that fear quietly. Not always about God - sometimes it’s a parent, a friend, a version of themselves they can’t forgive. The worry sounds like this: “If they really knew me, they’d walk away.”
This week, I’m running a short devotional series that sits right inside that fear and answers it honestly. We’ll look at what happens when people we love pull away - and what it means that some love doesn’t work that way at all. We’ll talk about identity, about consequences that don’t disappear even when we’re forgiven, about persistence that refuses to take no for an answer, and about what real reconciliation actually looks like.
It’s not a tidy, “just believe harder” message. It’s honest about the cost of love, and hopeful about where that cost leads.
Each video is five minutes. You can watch one over your morning coffee or on your lunch break - no churchy jargon, just straight talk rooted in some old, good words that still hold up.
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re still wanted, this one’s for you.
You can catch the whole series on YouTube here - I’ll be posting one each day this week: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQHOmMBufQxc
With you in the struggle.
Rob
