The Audio Legacy You are Leaving Today
Do you remember a gentle whisper from a grandparent that still comforts you? Or perhaps a sharp word that still stings?
It is a sobering thought that we are all recording messages onto the hearts of every person we meet. I like to call this an “audio legacy.”
In the Bible - Jochebed only had a tiny window of time with her son - Moses. She did not have decades - but her words were incredibly “sticky.” When Moses grew up - he chose his faith over all the riches of Egypt because his mother’s words were stronger than the gold of the pharaohs.
Modern research shows that when we praise effort - we help people build a foundation that does not crack when life gets hard.
Whether you are at the office or the school gates - your words have a long shelf life. Today - try to notice someone’s kindness or effort. Speak a word of life that they might carry for a decade.
I would love to know who built a legacy of hope in you. Send them a note today.
