Squeezed but not squashed
Dear friend.
Can I ask you something honest? When was the last time life felt like it was pressing in from every side - and you weren’t sure how much more you could take?
Maybe it’s work. Maybe it’s something at home. Maybe it’s money, or your health, or a relationship that’s fraying at the edges. Whatever it is, I want you to know that what you’re feeling is real. And you are not forgotten.
In today’s devotional, I spent a few minutes with one of the most honest lines Paul ever wrote. In Romans 8:36-37, he quotes a psalm about being slaughtered like sheep - and then pivots to say that in spite of all that, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ. Not because the pressure stops. But because we are squeezed, not squashed.
He goes even further in 2 Corinthians 1:8-9, admitting he was crushed “beyond his ability to endure.” That’s not the language of a man who glided through life. That’s someone who knows what it feels like to be at the end of his rope.
And yet - he found God there.
I shared five practical ways to let God’s power shine through your struggle. None of them are quick fixes. But all of them are real. I think one of them will speak directly to wherever you are today.

Whatever today holds, remember this: you are never at the end of your hope.
With you in it, Rob 🙏
