Is your idea of "good" too small?
Hello friend.
Do you ever look at your children and feel a little bit of panic? We all want them to be polite, find a steady job, and stay out of trouble. We usually call this being “good”.
But I wonder if we are so busy trying to make them “fit in” that we miss the very reason they were born?
In the book of Exodus, Jochebed looked at her baby, Moses, and saw that he was “special”. The Bible uses the word tov. It is the same word God used when he created the stars. It means being exactly what you were meant to be - fit for God’s purpose.
Jochebed did not just see a cute baby; she saw a “God-good” child with a redemptive purpose.
This week, I want to invite you to stop “fixing” and start “observing”. Look for the unique spark God has put in the young people around you.
Warmly.
Rob
