Have you ever felt like you've blown it?
Dear friend.
Can I ask you something honest?
Have you ever done something - or failed to do something - that you’ve never quite got over? Not a dramatic, headline-making failure. Just something that quietly sits with you. A moment you wish you could go back and redo. A season when you got your priorities so badly wrong that you wonder whether you’ve ever fully recovered.
If so, then this week is for you.
We’re spending seven days with one of the most quietly powerful moments in the whole Bible - the morning Jesus cooked breakfast on a beach for a man who had publicly denied knowing him. Three times. On the worst night of Jesus’ life.
What he did next is extraordinary. And it has everything to say to anyone who has ever felt like they’ve blown it.
Each day this week I’ll be posting a short five-minute devotional video, exploring a different angle on that story. Some of them will be familiar territory. A couple of them will show you details in the text that most people completely miss - and once you see them, you won’t be able to read the story the same way again.
You don’t need a church background to find this useful. You just need to have lived long enough to know what it feels like to fall short.
The series starts Monday on the Battle Drill Daily Devotional YouTube channel. I’d love for you to join me there.
With warmth.
Rob
