Breaking Free: Let Go of What's Holding You Back
You’re not as free as you think you are.
That’s not an accusation. It’s something I’ve had to sit with myself.
Most of us aren’t locked behind bars. But a lot of us are locked behind something. Maybe it’s the exhausting effort of keeping up appearances - showing people the version of yourself you think they’ll approve of. Maybe it’s a resentment you’ve been carrying for so long it’s started to feel normal. Maybe it’s a quiet, persistent fear that sits just below the surface of every decision you make.
These aren’t dramatic prisons. They’re ordinary ones. And that’s exactly what makes them so hard to spot.
This week, I’m launching a new seven-part series called Breaking Free, and it’s built around one of the most honest questions I know: what is actually keeping you stuck?
Over the next seven days, I want to explore some of the most common invisible prisons - people-pleasing, perfectionism, unforgiveness, fear - and what it looks like to walk out of them. Not with willpower or a five-step plan, but through something much more surprising and much more solid.
Each video is about five minutes. Short enough for a commute or a quiet moment before the day starts. But I hope the ideas stay with you a lot longer than that.
If any of this connects with where you are right now, the first video will be live on YouTube at 6:00am UK time tomorrow. Come and take a look.
