Are you still trying to earn what you already own?
Hello friends.
Imagine a father who gives his daughter a massive inheritance. All the papers are signed. The wealth is hers. But instead of enjoying it, she spends her days doing tiny chores to try and earn a million pounds one pound at a time.
It sounds silly, doesn’t it? Yet so many of us live this way with God. We treat our faith like a performance review. We feel good when we do well, but we feel guilty when we fail.
But the Bible tells a different story. In Galatians 3, we are told that through faith, we are children of God. We are “clothed with Christ.” When God looks at you, he does not see your mess. He sees the perfect life of his son.
This changes everything. We do not serve God to get his love. We serve him because we already have it.
