A cure for the quiet ache
Friends, if I told you that your social life was just as vital as your lungs, would you believe me?
Doctors have found that being lonely is as bad for your health as smoking fifteen cigarettes every single day. It actually hurts our physical bodies. Many of us carry this quiet ache as we go to the shops or sit in meetings. We feel like a face in a crowd. We feel like a nobody.
In today’s devotional, we look at the life of Jochebed. To the world, she was just a slave with a lost cause. But she was not invisible to God. He sees the mother struggling, the man eating alone, and the student who does not fit in.
I want to share with you a simple task called “Relational Medicine”. It takes just a moment of your time. By using someone’s name or asking a genuine question, you can help heal the sting of loneliness.
You are seen, and you are loved.
